Fortissima at the Colburn School
Fortissima / meaning “very strong” in Italian / is a six-month developmental initiative to aid, inspire, equip and empower high school-aged young women of color to pursue professional training and careers in classical music. Led by Artistic Director Jannina Norpoth, participants receive rigorous artistic and leadership training, mentorship, one-on-one personal and professional development all at no cost to participants. Students are paired with leading women in the Classical Music Field for virtual sessions and participate weeklong in person intensive at The Colburn School.
